By using Scuto ("the extension", "the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Scuto.

1. Description of Service

Scuto is a Chrome extension that uses artificial intelligence to extract structured data from web pages. The extension processes visible page content locally in your browser, sends cleaned text to AI models for analysis, and returns structured results.

2. User Responsibilities

• Website compliance: you are responsible for ensuring your use of Scuto complies with the terms of service of any website you extract data from. Scuto does not bypass paywalls, login walls, or access restrictions.
• Legal compliance: you must comply with all applicable laws, including data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA), when extracting and using data.
• No automated scraping: Scuto is designed for manual, user-initiated extraction. Automated or bulk scraping using the extension is prohibited.

3. Usage Limits

• Free plan: 5 extractions per day.
• Pro plan ($9.99/month): 100 extractions per day.
• Team plan ($29/month): 500 extractions per day.

Usage limits reset daily at midnight UTC. Unused extractions do not carry over. We reserve the right to adjust limits with 30 days notice.

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

Scuto uses AI to interpret and structure web page content. Results may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

You should always verify extracted data before using it for important decisions.

5. Payment and Billing

• Pro and Team subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
• You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are honored until renewal.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use Scuto to:

• Extract data for illegal purposes.
• Scrape personal information without consent.
• Circumvent access controls or security measures on websites.
• Resell or redistribute extracted data in violation of source website terms.
• Reverse engineer the extension or its AI processing pipeline.
• Abuse the service in a way that degrades performance for other users.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Intellectual Property

Scuto and its source code, design, and branding are owned by us. Extracted data belongs to you, subject to the rights of the source website owners.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Scuto. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
